MST3K 518: THE ATOMIC BRAIN

Cinemavixion Review

Mystery Science Theater 3000's take on "The Atomic Brain" (1964) offers a unique blend of B-movie schlock and sharp-witted commentary. The episode plunges viewers into the absurdities of a mad scientist's quest for a superior brain, a premise ripe for the MST3K treatment. Mike Nelson and the robots navigate the film's narrative with their signature riffing, dissecting every questionable plot point and special effect. Beyond the film itself, the episode features a memorable Mike demonstration of chin puppets, adding another layer of meta-humor. This installment is a testament to the show's enduring appeal, proving that even a lesser-known film can become a source of comedic gold under the watchful, mocking eyes of the Satellite of Love crew.
