MST3K 420: THE HUMAN DUPLICATORS

Cinemavixion Review

Mystery Science Theater 3000's take on "The Human Duplicators" from 1965 offers a unique blend of vintage sci-fi schlock and the show's signature satirical wit. While the original film may have aimed for a serious exploration of scientific ambition gone awry, the MST3K crew, particularly the irrepressible Tom Servo, injects a healthy dose of absurdity. The premise, involving the creation of duplicates, provides ample fodder for their riffing. Viewers can expect the usual inventive jokes, running gags, and a loving, yet critical, dissection of cinematic B-movie tropes. It’s a testament to the enduring appeal of both the 'so bad it's good' genre and the comedic genius of Joel Hodgson and his team that episodes like this continue to entertain.
