MOUNT JOY 2017

Cinemavixion Review

"Mount Joy 2017" presents a compelling narrative centered on the burgeoning rock band "The Living Daylights." As they stand on the precipice of a national tour, the sudden disappearance of their lead singer's girlfriend, who also serves as their manager, throws their future into jeopardy. This personal crisis is compounded by a devastating secret she carries, threatening to unravel the band's dreams and their very existence. Director Jack Lewars navigates this dramatic intersection of ambition and personal turmoil with a script that hints at complex character dynamics and suspenseful plot twists. While the film garnered award nominations at various festivals, suggesting critical recognition for its storytelling and performances by Amorika Amoroso, Jay Della Valle, and Josh Eves, its true impact lies in its exploration of the sacrifices and hidden truths that often accompany the pursuit of fame.
