MOSCOW DAYS LA NIGHTS

Cinemavixion Review

Rodion Nakhapetov's "Moscow Days LA Nights" attempts a transatlantic crime-drama narrative, following a Russian officer seeking redemption in the sprawling landscape of Los Angeles. The premise, which intertwines personal pasts with present dangers, promises a blend of suspense and emotional depth. The inclusion of Sean Young, an actress with a notable presence in science fiction classics, adds a layer of intrigue to the film's potential. Nakhapetov, who also directs, navigates the cultural contrasts and the inherent dangers of the diamond smuggling plot. While the film aims for a dramatic romance, its success hinges on balancing the gritty underworld with the protagonist's quest for love and justice in an unfamiliar territory. It offers a unique perspective on the immigrant experience within the crime genre.
