Sam Newfield's 1937 Western, "Moonlight on the Range," offers a classic tale of revenge and mistaken identity. The film centers on Jeff, whose life is thrown into turmoil when Killer Dane murders his friend. The plot thickens as Jeff and Dane, revealed to be look-alike half-brothers, become entangled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Dane's attempt to frame Jeff by impersonating him leads to Jeff's arrest, but a timely breakout by Fuzzy allows Jeff to pursue Dane once more. Starring Fred Scott as Jeff and Al St. John as Fuzzy, the movie delivers a straightforward yet engaging narrative typical of the era's B-Westerns. While not a critical darling, "Moonlight on the Range" provides a solid dose of frontier justice and sibling rivalry for fans of vintage Western cinema.
