Cinemavixion Review

Fifty years after humanity's first steps on its lunar surface, the Moon is once again the focal point of an intense global competition. Véronique Préault's 2019 documentary, "Moon Wars | Geopolitical Race," delves into the burgeoning contest for lunar resources and strategic dominance. The film meticulously unpacks the motivations of nations and private enterprises alike, highlighting how the Moon is envisioned not only as a potential energy source but also as a critical staging ground for future interplanetary exploration, particularly to Mars. Préault adeptly navigates the complex interplay between political aspirations and economic imperatives, revealing a high-stakes arena where the future of space exploration and terrestrial power dynamics are being forged. This insightful documentary offers a compelling look at the renewed geopolitical significance of Earth's celestial neighbor.
