MOON STUDENTS

Cinemavixion Review

Daniel Holland's "Moon Students" (2023) is a thought-provoking independent film that delves into the personal and professional unraveling of a college professor. Sydney Carvill, Eddie Navarro, and Nicholas Thurkettle anchor the narrative, portraying characters whose interactions challenge the protagonist's insulated existence. The film's strength lies in its examination of how a single, ill-advised reaction in an academic setting can catalyze profound personal growth. Despite its modest production, "Moon Students" offers a compelling character study, exploring themes of ego, vulnerability, and the transformative power of diverse perspectives. The film's narrative arc, while perhaps familiar in its trajectory, is executed with a sincerity that resonates, making it a noteworthy addition to contemporary drama.
