MOMENTS OF DARKNESS

Cinemavixion Review

"Moments of Darkness" (2020) emerges as a poignant spiritual drama, helmed by directors Manjeet S. Gill and Andrew J. Walker. The film delves into the profound struggle for redemption and peace through the eyes of a man recently released from prison. Seeking to rebuild his life, he accepts a solitary role as a night watchman, only to find that the quietude amplifies the haunting echoes of his past. As inner demons resurface and the weight of societal rejection bears down, the narrative masterfully explores themes of trauma and the arduous, often fragile, search for solace in a world that feels irrevocably broken. The performances, particularly from Andrew J. Walker, Roderick Masih, and Gurjit Bahia, anchor the film's exploration of isolation and the arduous path toward self-forgiveness. It's a film that lingers, prompting reflection on the enduring human spirit's capacity for healing even in the darkest of times.
