MOLLY AND ME

Cinemavixion Review

Lewis Seiler's "Molly And Me" from 1945 offers a charming blend of comedy and heartwarming drama. The narrative centers on Molly, a resourceful actress portrayed with infectious energy, who takes on a housekeeper role to make ends meet. Her vibrant presence proves to be the catalyst needed to invigorate the life of a crusty, retired politician, played with gruff conviction. The film excels in its depiction of unlikely connections, demonstrating how a fresh perspective can profoundly impact a secluded existence. Gracie Fields and Monty Woolley deliver compelling performances, navigating the comedic and emotional beats with seasoned skill. While perhaps not a groundbreaking cinematic achievement, "Molly And Me" stands as a testament to the enduring power of human connection and a delightful showcase for its leading actors.
