MISTAKEN

Cinemavixion Review

In the tense aftermath of 9/11, 'Mistaken' offers a poignant exploration of identity and prejudice through the ordeal of a Moroccan woman detained at JFK. The film skillfully navigates the complexities of a post-9/11 world, where a shared name can tragically lead to mistaken identity and profound suspicion. Nadia Kounda delivers a compelling performance as the protagonist, embodying the fear and resilience of those caught in the crosshairs of heightened security and xenophobia. While the external data notes Alfred Robbins as director and lists a runtime of 84 minutes, the core narrative remains consistent with the provided local data. This drama serves as a powerful reminder of the human cost of fear and the importance of looking beyond superficial connections to understand individual truths.
