MINDWASH

Cinemavixion Review

"Mindwash" plunges into the unsettling aftermath of global catastrophe, exploring the disintegration of a rising star, Billy Seldom, portrayed with raw vulnerability by Ben Edlin. The narrative, driven by director Beatrice Brigitte, masterfully intertwines Seldom's descent into self-destruction with the fracturing of his co-dependent relationship with Natalie, played compellingly by Camille Hyde. The film excels in its claustrophobic atmosphere, mirroring Seldom's internal turmoil as he grapples with fame and ruin. While the external data points to a thriller genre, the core of "Mindwash" lies in its poignant, albeit bleak, examination of human connection under extreme duress. It's a thought-provoking piece that lingers, prompting introspection on the fragility of success and the enduring, yet vulnerable, nature of relationships.
