MILES TO GO

Cinemavixion Review

Quincy Rose's 2012 independent drama, "Miles To Go," offers a poignant exploration of self-sabotage and the arduous journey toward genuine connection. The film centers on Miles, a Los Angeles-based writer whose deep-seated belief that relationships are ephemeral consistently undermines his romantic prospects. Trapped in a cycle of loneliness and creative stagnation, Miles seeks to rekindle his relationship with Julia, his on-again, off-again ex-girlfriend. Rose, who also stars as Miles and penned the screenplay, crafts a narrative that is both intimate and universally relatable. The film sensitively portrays Miles' internal struggle as Julia begins to reciprocate his efforts, forcing him to confront his deepest insecurities and learn to foster positivity without succumbing to his destructive patterns. With a compelling performance from Rose and a sensitive direction, "Miles To Go" is a thoughtful character study that resonates with its honest depiction of vulnerability and the courage it takes to build something lasting.
