MILANO ROVENTE

Cinemavixion Review

Umberto Lenzi's "Milano rovente" plunges viewers into the gritty underbelly of 1970s Milan, offering a tense thriller experience. The film, penned by Lenzi himself alongside Franco Enna and Ombretta Lanza, masterfully builds suspense, weaving a narrative that keeps audiences on the edge of their seats. The performances are compelling, particularly from Antonio Sabato, Philippe Leroy, and Antonio Casagrande, who embody their roles with a palpable intensity that drives the plot forward. Lenzi's direction is assured, utilizing the urban landscape to enhance the film's atmosphere of unease and danger. While a product of its time, "Milano rovente" remains a potent example of Italian giallo and thriller filmmaking, deserving of discovery for its suspenseful storytelling and atmospheric execution.
