MI NOMBRE ES SHANGAI JOE

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Mi nombre es Shangai Joe,' director Mario Caiano presents a compelling narrative of a Chinese immigrant's struggle against injustice in America. Released in 1973, the film stars Chen Lee as the titular character, who arrives in a new land only to confront the brutal reality of slavery. Driven by a powerful sense of righteousness, Shangai Joe embarks on a perilous mission to liberate enslaved Mexican workers from their ruthless master. The film, also featuring Klaus Kinski and Carla Romanelli, delves into themes of cultural displacement, exploitation, and the fight for freedom, offering a unique blend of Western and martial arts elements within its dramatic framework.
