MEN OF WAR

Cinemavixion Review

Perry Lang's "Men of War" plunges viewers into the morally ambiguous world of mercenary operations, centered on a former Special Ops soldier grappling with civilian life. Dolph Lundgren delivers a performance that evolves from world-weary cynicism to reluctant heroism as his character, Nick Gunar, is tasked with a mission that forces him to confront his own past and the greed of corporate interests. The film skillfully navigates the complexities of loyalty and betrayal as Gunar's team fractures over the fate of an island and its inhabitants. Lang, alongside a solid cast including B.D. Wong and Charlotte Lewis, crafts a narrative that is as much about redemption as it is about action. While the film may not shy away from the grit of its subject matter, it ultimately offers a compelling exploration of finding purpose in unexpected places, making it a noteworthy entry in the action-thriller genre.
