MEGAFAULT

Cinemavixion Review

David Michael Latt's 'Megafault' plunges viewers into a high-stakes disaster scenario where seismic activity threatens to tear the North American continent apart. The film capitalizes on the primal fear of earthquakes, presenting a continent-spanning fault line as the central antagonist. While the premise is grand, the narrative focuses on the race against time spearheaded by miner Charley 'Boomer' Baxter and seismology expert Dr. Amy Lane. Brittany Murphy and Eriq La Salle anchor the human element amidst the geological chaos, their performances striving to ground the escalating peril. Though perhaps less polished than blockbuster disaster epics, 'Megafault' delivers on its B-movie promise with a relentless pace and a clear, immediate threat, offering a serviceable dose of end-of-the-world suspense for fans of the genre.
