MEGABOA

Cinemavixion Review

“Megaboa” (2021) is a creature-feature that plunges viewers into a primal struggle for survival against a colossal prehistoric serpent. Directed by Mario N. Bonassin, the film follows a group of university students whose remote island excursion turns into a nightmare. The synopsis, aligning with external data, details their unfortunate encounter with a gigantic boa constrictor, a predator awakened and fiercely territorial. While the film leans heavily into its B-movie horror premise, it offers a straightforward, action-packed narrative. The presence of Eric Roberts in the cast adds a familiar face to this intense jungle thriller, where the students must outwit and outrun a lethal force of nature. For fans of giant monster movies and survival horror, “Megaboa” delivers a dose of adrenaline-fueled suspense.
