MAYDAY: ACCIDENT FILES - WHEN PASSENGER PLANES ARE UNDER ATTACK

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary series delves into the terrifying reality of aviation disasters that stem not from mechanical failure or pilot error, but from malicious intent. Each episode of 'Mayday: Accident Files' meticulously reconstructs harrowing incidents, such as the tragic fates of PSA Flight 1771 and Air India Flight 182, revealing how external forces sought to bring these aircraft down. The series effectively broadens the scope of its parent show, 'Air Crash Investigation,' by examining diverse yet thematically linked tragedies. It highlights chilling patterns, from mid-air engine separations to the dire consequences of improvised landings and problematic pilot pairings. For viewers fascinated by the intricacies of flight safety and the psychological profiles of those who pose a threat, this series offers a compelling, albeit unsettling, exploration of the skies' vulnerability.
