MATTERHORN DISASTER: A MURDER MYSTERY AT 14,000 FEET

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges into the chilling mystery surrounding the first ascent of the Matterhorn, a peak that long resisted human conquest. The narrative reconstructs the tragic events of July 14, 1865, when, upon reaching the summit, a snapped rope sent four of the seven climbers plummeting to their deaths. However, the film compellingly probes whether this was a mere accident or a deliberate act of murder. Through meticulously detailed re-enactments shot at the very locations where history unfolded, 'Matterhorn Disaster: A Murder Mystery at 14,000 Feet' seeks to unravel the truth behind this infamous mountaineering tragedy, questioning the fate of those seven men on that fateful day.
