MARY HIGGINS CLARK: ALL AROUND THE TOWN

Cinemavixion Review

This made-for-television film adaptation of Mary Higgins Clark's novel plunges into the psychological aftermath of trauma. The narrative centers on a young woman whose past abduction casts a long shadow, making her an immediate suspect when a murder occurs. The film adeptly explores themes of memory, guilt, and the societal tendency to project blame onto those perceived as different or vulnerable. While the director is not explicitly credited here, the performances, particularly from Nastassja Kinski, Tobias Moretti, and Andrea Roth, anchor the suspense. Their portrayals navigate the complex emotional landscape of characters grappling with hidden truths and external pressures, creating a compelling, albeit contained, thriller that invites viewers to question perception and justice.
