MARTY JENKINS AND THE VAMPIRE BITCHES

Cinemavixion Review

Henrique Couto's "Marty Jenkins and the Vampire Bitches" offers a quirky, low-budget dive into horror-comedy, released in 2006. The film centers on Marty, a young man nursing a broken heart who stumbles upon a coven of vampireesses with a taste for more than just blood. His predicament escalates as he must rally to protect his friends from their nocturnal predations. While the film may not boast mainstream accolades, it delivers on its premise with a B-movie charm. The plot, which follows Marty's desperate attempts to thwart the vampires, is straightforward, allowing for a blend of comedic situations and genuine, albeit campy, horror elements. The cast, including Shawn A. Green, Michelle McLaughlin, and Plexi Starr, fully embraces the material, contributing to the film's unique cult appeal. "Marty Jenkins and the Vampire Bitches" is a testament to independent filmmaking, offering a fun, albeit unrated, experience for fans of the genre seeking something off the beaten path.
