Cinemavixion Review

"Manifest Destiny: The Lewis & Clark Musical Adventure" offers a spirited and satirical take on a pivotal moment in American history. Directed by Anthony Parisi and starring Jeremy Hoffman as Meriwether Lewis and Kev Abrams as William Clark, this 2016 musical comedy charts the duo's ambitious expedition to the western territories. The film cleverly blends historical narrative with ten original songs, injecting humor and heart into the arduous journey. It highlights the encounters with key figures like Sacagawea and the challenges faced, all while playfully exploring President Thomas Jefferson's vision. While perhaps not a traditional biopic, it serves as an entertaining and educational romp through the American frontier, appealing to those who enjoy history with a musical twist.
