MANHATTAN MERRY GO AROUND

Cinemavixion Review

Charles Reisner's 1935 film, 'Manhattan Merry Go Around,' plunges into the gritty world of the music industry, where gangsters have seized control of a record company. The narrative unfolds as these tough individuals employ unsavory tactics against performers who resist their control. The film features a notable cast including Phil Regan, Leo Carrillo, Ann Dvorak, Tamara Geva, James Gleason, and the iconic Gene Autry, promising a blend of musical performances and dramatic tension. It's a glimpse into a bygone era of Hollywood, where the lines between entertainment and organized crime could blur on screen.
