MAMBO CAFE

Cinemavixion Review

"Mambo Café" offers a vibrant slice-of-life comedy set against the backdrop of Spanish Harlem. The narrative centers on a Puerto Rican family's spirited efforts to revitalize their struggling restaurant, The Mambo Café. When a daring, albeit chaotic, scheme involving the mob and a supposed murder is hatched, the ensuing mayhem promises to attract customers, but also a buffet of unexpected trouble. The film, directed by Reuben Gonzalez, captures a unique blend of humor and high-stakes situations, promising a "hilarious series of near disasters." With a cast featuring Thalía, the movie aims to deliver a spicy concoction of comedy and drama, where the main ingredients are indeed laughter and a touch of peril. It's a charming exploration of family, business, and the wild lengths one might go to for success.
