MAKING SOMETHING UP

Cinemavixion Review

This romantic comedy, "Making Something Up," offers a glimpse into the life of Jack Payne, a meticulously organized children's book writer, portrayed by Paul Kinney. Set against the backdrop of San Francisco, the film attempts to blend humor with heartfelt moments, though its execution is described as a simple, low-budget production. Kinney, who also directs and writes, stars as the uptight protagonist, alongside Rachel Songer and Phil Cowan. While the film may be considered a trifle by some, its earnest portrayal of a character grappling with his own rigid nature provides a gentle exploration of romantic entanglements. It's a modest endeavor, best suited for those seeking a lighthearted, character-driven narrative.
