MADHOUSE

Cinemavixion Review

Ovidio G. Assonitis's 1981 Italian horror film 'Madhouse' plunges viewers into a chilling narrative centered on twin sisters, one a psychopathic murderer. The film masterfully builds suspense as the deranged sibling relentlessly pursues her unsuspecting counterpart in the days leading up to their shared birthday. Starring Patricia Mickey, Michael MacRae, and Dennis Robertson, 'Madhouse' delivers a tense and atmospheric viewing experience, characteristic of the era's giallo-influenced horror. While its reception was modest, the film remains a noteworthy entry for fans of psychological thrillers and the darker side of sibling relationships in cinema.
