MAD HOUSE

Cinemavixion Review

Ross Perkins' 2019 thriller, "Mad House," plunges viewers into a harrowing domestic siege. The film centers on a seemingly idyllic family whose world is shattered when opportunistic junkies infiltrate their home, weaponizing the businessman patriarch's own personal information against him. While the premise offers a potent cocktail of suspense and psychological terror, the film's execution, as suggested by its modest IMDb rating of 3.6/10, may not fully capitalize on its chilling setup. Despite a single win noted in its accolades, "Mad House" appears to be a tense, albeit perhaps flawed, exploration of vulnerability and the dark underbelly of suburban life.
