LYVIA'S HOUSE

Cinemavixion Review

Niko Volonakis's 'Lyvia's House' masterfully weaves a suspenseful narrative that blurs the lines between past and present. The film centers on a young journalist's intrepid investigation into an artist's disappearance, a case that eerily echoes unsolved murders from two decades prior. Tara Nichol Caldwell delivers a compelling performance as the determined protagonist, navigating a labyrinth of secrets with grit and intelligence. Joshua Malekos and Danielle Octavien provide strong support, adding depth to the unfolding mystery. The deliberate pacing and atmospheric direction create a palpable sense of dread, drawing viewers into a world where history's shadows loom large. 'Lyvia's House' is a thought-provoking thriller that excels in its intricate plotting and character-driven suspense, making it a standout in the genre.
