LUST FOR LOVE

Cinemavixion Review

Anton King's "Lust for Love" (2014) is a charming romantic comedy that delves into the awkwardness and earnestness of pursuing love. Starring Fran Kranz as Astor, the film follows his journey after being unceremoniously dumped by his long-time crush, Mila. His path then crosses with Cali, portrayed by Dichen Lachman, who happens to be Mila's former friend. Cali takes on the role of Astor's unlikely mentor, guiding him through the complexities of approaching women and dissecting the missteps that led to his initial romantic downfall. The premise promises a blend of humor and heartfelt lessons, as Astor navigates the often-treacherous waters of courtship with Cali's sharp, perhaps unconventional, advice. Beau Garrett also features in the cast, adding further depth to the ensemble. While specific details on awards or box office performance are not widely publicized, the film offers a relatable narrative for anyone who has navigated the trials and tribulations of romantic pursuit, making it a worthwhile watch for fans of the genre.
