LUST FOR LOVE

Cinemavixion Review

Anton King's "Lust for Love" (2014) offers a quirky take on the complexities of romantic pursuit. The film centers on Astor, whose earnest but perhaps overzealous affection for his long-time crush, Mila, inadvertently sabotages his chances. In a bid to gain the experience he believes he lacks, Astor enlists the help of Mila's former friend, Cali, to guide him in the art of courtship. While the premise suggests a potentially formulaic romantic comedy, the execution delves into the awkwardness and often humorous missteps inherent in navigating young love. Starring Fran Kranz, Dichen Lachman, and Beau Garrett, the film garnered 2 wins, though critical reception was mixed, with an IMDb rating of 5.6/10. "Lust for Love" is an endearing, albeit imperfect, exploration of self-improvement for the sake of affection, offering a lighthearted, character-driven narrative.
