LOVES ME, LOVES ME NOT

Cinemavixion Review

Wayne Powers' 2019 offering, "Loves Me, Loves Me Not," presents a darkly comedic exploration of modern romance through the eyes of Ali Silver. The film charts her often outrageous and sexy misadventures as she navigates a sea of unsuitable, unobtainable, or simply unmanageable partners. Evoking a tone reminiscent of "Looking for Mr. Goodbar" blended with the sensibilities of "Sex and the City," the movie, starring Isabelle Chester, David DeLuise, and David Chokachi, delves into the often perilous quest for Mr. Right. While the film garnered a modest 3.3 rating on IMDb from 214 votes, its sharp wit and candid portrayal of dating's complexities offer a compelling, if sometimes uncomfortable, viewing experience.
