LOVE & WHERE TO FIND IT

Cinemavixion Review

In "Love & Where to Find It," director Ken Friss crafts a charming romantic comedy that hinges on the delightful irony of enemies becoming lovers through the digital ether. The film, released in 2021, stars Elise Gatien and Clayton James as two feuding local business owners – one a coffee shop proprietor, the other a representative of a large chain. Their real-life animosity provides a fertile ground for comedic tension, which beautifully contrasts with the burgeoning romance they develop while unknowingly communicating via a dating app. The premise, where they act as proxies for their friends on the app, leads to a series of witty exchanges and genuine emotional connection, proving that sometimes love finds you when you least expect it, and perhaps from the most unlikely of sources. While the film might not boast major awards, its strength lies in its relatable characters and a sweet, engaging narrative that delivers a satisfying romantic payoff. It’s a heartwarming tale that resonates with the modern complexities of connection and the enduring power of love.
