LOVE UPSTREAM

Cinemavixion Review

Bill Corcoran's "Love Upstream" offers a charming if predictable foray into the romance genre, set against the picturesque backdrop of the Minnesota wilderness. The film centers on Charlotte (Kimberly-Sue Murray), a successful Chicago author seeking inspiration for a book on wilderness survival. Her city-bred sensibilities are soon challenged by Rob (Steve Lund), her rugged and initially skeptical guide. As Charlotte navigates the challenges of the wild, she discovers not only a newfound independence but also an unexpected connection with Rob. The narrative, while adhering to familiar romantic comedy tropes, benefits from the chemistry between its leads and the serene natural setting. While external data suggests a rating of 6.2/10 on IMDb, the film itself provides a pleasant, lighthearted escape, proving that sometimes, the greatest discoveries are found when one ventures away from the familiar.
