LOVE ON RETREAT

Cinemavixion Review

In "Love on Retreat," Brittany Underwood crafts a charming romantic comedy that explores the ever-present tension between professional ambition and personal fulfillment. Ansley Gordon shines as Jenny, a driven content creator tasked with rebranding a beauty company's image amidst a controversial shift to online sales. Her journey takes an unexpected turn during a seaside retreat in Miami, where she clashes with the free-spirited activities director, Nate, played with appealing charisma by Jonathan Stoddard. Their dynamic is the heart of the film, as Jenny grapples with her work-obsessed mindset and Nate’s seemingly effortless approach to life balance. The film cleverly uses their budding romance to delve into themes of corporate adaptation and the search for genuine connection in a digitally saturated world. While the premise might feel familiar, the genuine chemistry between the leads and the picturesque setting elevate "Love on Retreat" into a delightful escape, encouraging viewers to reconsider their own "work-life balance."
