LOVE IN FULL SWING

Cinemavixion Review

Heather Hawthorn Doyle's 2021 romantic comedy, "Love In Full Swing," offers a familiar yet heartwarming exploration of friendship, self-discovery, and the courage to embrace love. The film centers on Becks, a romance columnist whose professional life ironically contrasts with her own romantic hesitations. When she decides to assist her best friend, Casey, in his quest to find his first love, their journey unexpectedly becomes a catalyst for introspection. As Becks navigates Casey's romantic pursuits, she finds herself increasingly drawn to him, creating a compelling dilemma: should she prioritize her friend's happiness or risk a budding connection by revealing her own feelings? The narrative skillfully weaves together themes of loyalty and personal desire, anchored by the performances of Sarah Smyth and Andrew Dunbar in the lead roles. While "Love In Full Swing" may tread familiar ground in the romance genre, its sincerity and the genuine chemistry between its leads make it a pleasant watch. The film, with its roots in Canadian cinema, delivers a sweet and engaging story that encourages viewers to consider the leap of faith required to open one's heart.
