LOVE, DEATH AND CAT

Cinemavixion Review

In "Love, Death and Cat," director Daniel Dong Fu presents a poignant narrative that spans three generations, centered on a ninety-year-old cat-demon. This ancient being, cursed to traverse dimensions, embarks on a quest for a priest's divine intervention to sustain her love and stave off the inevitable decay of her youth. The film intricately explores themes of passion, betrayal, and sacrifice, charting the protagonist's defiance of fate. What commences as an act of love evolves into a profound contemplation of immortality, the consuming nature of obsession, and the steep price of challenging the relentless march of time. Starring Sandrine Pinna, Ziyi Wang, and Andy Chen, the movie offers a haunting meditation on the enduring power of love and the existential struggle against mortality.
