LOVE AND THE RADIO STAR

Cinemavixion Review

In 'Love and the Radio Star,' director Graeme Campbell crafts a charming romantic comedy that explores the unexpected intersections of professional ambition and personal connection. The narrative centers on Savannah Joy, a dynamic image consultant who finds her carefully curated life delightfully disrupted when she becomes an accidental on-air personality alongside a charismatic radio host. The film skillfully balances the tropes of the genre with a genuine sense of warmth, particularly in the performances of Laura Miyata and Luke Humphrey, whose chemistry crackles through the speakers. As Savannah navigates the complexities of rebranding and self-discovery, the audience is treated to a witty exploration of whether on-air personas can translate into lasting love. It's a feel-good film that resonates with its relatable characters and a sweet, optimistic outlook on finding romance in the most unexpected of places.
