Ansel Faraj's "Loon Lake" plunges viewers into the somber psyche of Louis Olsen, a man seeking solace in the Minnesota countryside only to unearth a spectral reckoning. The film masterfully blurs the lines between psychological torment and supernatural dread as Olsen's accidental disturbance of a local witch's grave unleashes a haunting that may be as internal as it is external. Nathan Wilson anchors the narrative with a performance steeped in grief and mounting paranoia, supported by the seasoned presence of David Selby.
