LONG JOHN SILVER'S RETURN TO TREASURE ISLAND

Cinemavixion Review

Robert Newton reprises his iconic role as Long John Silver in this spirited sequel, 'Long John Silver's Return to Treasure Island'. Set after the events of 'Treasure Island', the film sees the wily pirate drawn back into adventure, this time to rescue his young friend Jim Hawkins from a rival pirate, Mendoza. However, as is Silver's way, the rescue mission is merely a prelude to further schemes for treasure and freedom. Directed by Byron Haskin, the film captures the adventurous spirit of its predecessor, with Newton's charismatic performance anchoring the narrative. While perhaps not reaching the same legendary status as the original, it offers a satisfying continuation of Silver's saga, filled with swashbuckling action and the enduring allure of pirate lore. A must-see for fans of classic adventure tales.
