LITTLE MISS MAGIC

Cinemavixion Review

Fred Olen Ray's "Little Miss Magic" presents a whimsical premise centered on an adolescent sorceress-in-training tasked with mending a fractured marriage. The narrative, as suggested by its fantasy and comedy leanings, unfolds with a lighthearted touch, exploring themes of happiness and the often-unforeseen consequences of magical intervention. Russ Tamblyn, Michelle Bauer, and Ted Monte anchor the film with performances that navigate the comedic and dramatic beats of their characters' relationships. While the film may not boast widespread critical acclaim, its earnest attempt to blend magical realism with domestic comedy offers a unique, albeit modest, cinematic experience. It's a film that, despite its straightforward plot, invites viewers to ponder the nature of happiness and the charmingly chaotic ways one might seek it.
