LISTEN TO YOUR HEART

Cinemavixion Review

In "Listen to Your Heart," director Matt Thompson crafts a tender narrative about the profound connection that can blossom between two souls, even across the barrier of silence. The film centers on a struggling musician whose world is illuminated by the arrival of Ariana, a deaf woman who inspires his most heartfelt compositions. Their journey is a poignant exploration of love's ability to communicate beyond the spoken word, suggesting that true understanding resides in the resonance of the heart. Alexia Rasmussen delivers a nuanced performance as Ariana, conveying a wealth of emotion without uttering a sound, while Kent Moran imbues his character with a gentle optimism that anchors the film's hopeful spirit. Though missing a theatrical release year in its initial listing, the 2010 drama, bolstered by a significant number of wins and nominations, offers a touching testament to the universal language of love and music.
