LIGHT OF MINE

Cinemavixion Review

"Light Of Mine" offers a poignant exploration of sight, memory, and the human will to experience beauty in the face of inevitable loss. The film follows Owen, a photographer grappling with a degenerative eye disease that threatens his livelihood and his perception of the world. His journey, alongside his wife Laura to the majestic Yellowstone National Park, becomes a race against time, a desperate attempt to imprint lasting visual memories before darkness descends. The narrative, anchored by strong performances from Rebecca Sanborn and Ji Tanzer, skillfully navigates themes of love, acceptance, and the profound connection between what we see and what we feel. Director Brett Eichenberger crafts a visually sensitive and emotionally resonant story that encourages viewers to appreciate the ephemeral nature of our senses and the enduring power of shared experience. This intimate drama, recognized with two awards, invites a contemplative viewing that lingers long after the credits roll.
