LEMMINGS: THE TINIEST GIANTS OF NORWAY

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary, "Lemmings: The Tiniest Giants Of Norway," offers a fascinating glimpse into the lives of two seemingly disparate yet remarkably resilient creatures. The film expertly navigates the harsh, snow-laden terrains of Scandinavia to unveil the intricate existence of the Norway lemming. It then transports viewers to the rugged, sun-drenched cliffs of southern Africa to introduce the rock dassie, an animal whose evolutionary link to elephants is nothing short of astonishing. Through stunning cinematography, the documentary illustrates the daily battles these small mammals face against formidable predators such as the black eagle. More than just a tale of survival, the film thoughtfully explores the delicate balance of their respective ecosystems and what the persistent struggle of these tiny giants signifies for the natural world. It is a compelling narrative of two humble animals from vastly different corners of the globe, each presenting an extraordinary saga of endurance against overwhelming odds.
