LEGION OF BROTHERS | THE SECRET MISSION TO OVERTHROW THE TALIBAN | MILITARY | FULL DOCUMENTARY

Cinemavixion Review

Greg Barker's "Legion of Brothers" offers a stark and deeply personal look at the initial clandestine operations in Afghanistan following the September 11th attacks. The documentary eschews grand strategy for the intimate experiences of a small cadre of Green Berets, tasked with an almost impossible mission: to partner with the Northern Alliance and dismantle the Taliban and al-Qaeda. Through unprecedented access, the film captures the raw reflections of these soldiers, recounting the bravery, the sacrifices, and the profound bonds forged in the crucible of combat. It's a powerful narrative of a swift, decisive victory achieved with minimal conventional force, yet it also serves as a poignant precursor to the protracted conflict that would follow. The veterans' testimonials are both a celebration of extraordinary valor and a somber reminder of the enduring human cost of war.
