LEGENDARY HEROES: KING ARTHUR AND THE HOLY GRAIL | KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the enduring myth of King Arthur, questioning the historical veracity behind the tales of chivalry, Merlin, and the quest for the Holy Grail. While the legend captivates, the film notes that most scholars consider Arthur a symbolic figure rather than a historical one. It highlights Geoffrey of Monmouth's 12th-century chronicle as the pivotal work that ignited the Arthurian legend, suggesting it may have served as a form of propaganda to legitimize Norman rule in Britain. The narrative explores how this foundational text, blending historical accounts with myth, has inspired countless subsequent works and continues to fuel the fascination with Arthurian lore.
