LEE AND ME

Cinemavixion Review

This is a compelling Italian drama that delves into the harrowing experiences of two individuals grappling with the profound impact of sexual violence. The film juxtaposes the life of Lee Miller, a celebrated 20th-century American model and photographer, with that of Sami, a Kosovar man who has committed an abuse. Despite their disparate backgrounds and timelines, the narrative skillfully weaves their stories together, creating a poignant dialogue on the pervasive and devastating issue of violence against women. Directed by Alessandro Garilli, the 2023 film promises a sensitive and thought-provoking exploration of trauma, resilience, and the search for connection in the face of immense suffering.
