LE PRIME FOGLIE D'AUTUNNO

Cinemavixion Review

Raimondo Del Balzo's 'Le prime foglie d'autunno' (1988) presents a poignant, albeit tragic, exploration of family dynamics. The narrative centers on Martina and Marco, a couple attempting reconciliation after separation, with their children Alessio and Donatella inadvertently becoming catalysts for unforeseen disaster. The film delves into the complex interplay of parental relationships and the innocent, yet potent, influence of children. Sonia Petrovna, Luciano Bartoli, and Isabella Rocchietta deliver performances that navigate the delicate emotional landscape of the story. While the film's reception, as indicated by its IMDb rating, suggests a mixed critical response, its thematic depth and the sensitive portrayal of its characters offer a compelling, thought-provoking viewing experience that resonates with the melancholic beauty of its titular season.
