LE BELLE FAMIGLIE

Cinemavixion Review

Ugo Gregoretti's "Le belle famiglie" offers a fascinating diptych of Italian society in the 1960s, contrasting the lives of the affluent with those of the less fortunate. Through four distinct episodes, the film provides a nuanced and often poignant glimpse into the social fabric of the era. The ensemble cast, including notable performances from Annie Girardot, delivers a compelling narrative that resonates with themes of class, aspiration, and the everyday realities of family life. This cinematic exploration remains a significant reflection of its time.
