LAST RAMPAGE

Cinemavixion Review

Dwight H. Little's 'Last Rampage' plunges viewers into the harrowing true story of a notorious prison break. Anchored by a compelling performance from Robert Patrick as the savage Gary Tison, the film meticulously reconstructs the events of the 1978 Arizona prison escape. Co-starring Heather Graham and Bruce Davison, the narrative eschews sensationalism for a gritty portrayal of desperation and violence. While the film received a mixed reception, with a 60% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, its strength lies in its unflinching depiction of the real-life events. The tension builds relentlessly, offering a chilling look at the actions of Tison and his accomplice, Randy Greenawalt, and the chaos they unleashed. This is a stark, character-driven thriller that benefits from its commitment to factual recounting.
