Harry L. Fraser's 1935 Western, "The Last of the Clintons," stars the iconic Harry Carey as Trigger Carson, a cowboy who infiltrates an outlaw gang. Posing as one of them, Carson aims to dismantle their illicit operations. However, the mission takes a perilous turn when he is ordered to kidnap a young girl, an act that exposes his true identity to the ruthless gang. The ensuing conflict forces Carson to rely on his wits and the aid of his sidekick, Jed, to escape with the girl and ultimately confront the outlaws. While the film may not boast the grand scale of later Westerns, it delivers a solid dose of frontier justice, driven by Carey's stoic performance.
